OVERVIEW

This 6-day luxury safari on the northern circuit of Tanzania takes you to the most famous and incredible parks, including Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro. DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT TO ARUSHA

Upon arrival at the airport in Arusha (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met and welcomed by your representative from Bapta African Safaris, who will give you a short briefing before you drive to your lodgings in Arusha for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Early morning after having breakfast at your hotel in Arusha at around 0730hrs to 0800hrs, you will be picked up by your personal driver guide and depart straight to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours to the park gate. Tarangire National Park is located on the northern part of Tanzania and is known for its wide variety of animals and landscapes. It is home to the greatest concentration of African elephants and ancient baobab trees. You’ll have the opportunity to spot animals like giraffes, zebras, buffalos, lions, leopards, impalas, gazelles, and more. The park also boasts over 500 bird species. After lunch at a picnic site, you will continue your game drive and then proceed to your lodge in Karatu for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

DAY 3: KARATU TO SOUTHERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (NDUTU)

Early morning after breakfast, you will drive to the south of Serengeti known as Ndutu. This area is famous for the calving season, with more than 250,000 calves being born from late January to February. You might also spot predators like hyenas and lions during this time. After lunch, you’ll continue game viewing and then head to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 4: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN SOUTH SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (NDUTU)

Another full day in the southern Serengeti, exploring and searching for wildlife. After breakfast, you’ll continue your game drive, have lunch, and then a final game drive before returning to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

DAY 5: SOUTH SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO CRATER TO KARATU

Early morning after breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes approximately 3 hours to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy the breathtaking views before descending into the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site with a diverse range of wildlife. You may see animals like zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, lions, gazelles, impalas, kudus, waterbucks, buffalos, and more. The crater is also home to the endangered black rhinos. After your game drive and lunch at a picnic site, you will ascend the crater and head to your accommodation in Karatu for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

DAY 6: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA

Early morning after having breakfast at your lodge in Karatu, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park. The drive takes approximately 1 hour to the park gate. Lake Manyara National Park is known for its birdlife and tree-climbing lions. The park features a shallow alkaline lake that attracts numerous bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, storks, herons, cranes, and more. You’ll also encounter animals like lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, baboons, blue monkeys, and more. After lunch at a picnic site, you will drive back to Arusha where you will receive a special farewell from a representative of Bapta African Safaris. You can choose to have an extra night in Arusha or proceed to the airport for your onward flight.
